Updates from the new Implementation Regulations and Examination Guidelines of the 4th Amendments of the Chinese Patent Law, including changes in claiming priority, foreign filing license, deferred examination, Patent Term Adjustment (PTA) & Patent Term Extension (PTE), the open license system and partial design(s).
ASEAN Region
Updates to patent practices in the key ASEAN countries, including Overview of the patent regimes and recent developments in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam; Utilizing the ASEAN Patent Examination Co-operation (ASPEC) program to expedite patent prosecution by leveraging patent office work sharing between ASEAN countries; and Strategies for obtaining patents and enforcement considerations in these ASEAN markets that are rapidly growing in economic importance.
